I’m 66 years old, I work full time, and I’m just getting started.
If that surprises you, good. You’re in the right place.
I’m not winding down. I’m not coasting toward retirement. I’m playing golf, experimenting cooking with cast iron, mixing rum cocktails, building side income, listening to music, cheering on the Denver Broncos, and learning something new every single week.
And somewhere in the middle of all that, I started this site.
So who am I exactly?
I’m someone who believes your 60s can be the most interesting decade of your life — if you’re intentional about it. I’ve got decades of real-world experience, opinions I’ve actually earned, and zero interest in slowing down.
By day I work a full-time job. By night and on weekends I’m exploring side hustles, testing golf gear, experimenting in the kitchen, and figuring out how to build income streams that will carry me well into the years ahead.
I started this blog for one simple reason — I couldn’t find a site that spoke to people like me. Most lifestyle content assumes you’re either 30 or fully retired. Most side hustle content is aimed at people half my age. Most golf content ignores anyone who didn’t pick up a club at age 10.
So I built my own corner of the internet.
What you’ll find here
This isn’t a niche blog in the traditional sense. It’s a real life — mine — with all the interesting, overlapping parts that come with it:
- Golf — gear reviews, course tips, LPGA coverage, and the honest perspective of someone who plays for the love of the game
- Cast iron cooking — recipes, product reviews, and hard-won lessons from years at the skillet
- Rum cocktails — because life is too short for bad drinks
- Side hustles — what’s working, what’s not, and what I wish I’d known sooner
- Lifelong learning — courses, books, and ideas worth your time
- Dogs, music, chocolate, and everything else — because a full life doesn’t fit neatly into categories
Why trust me?
I’m not a guru. I don’t have a course to sell you. I’m not going to promise you’ll make $10,000 a month by next Tuesday.
What I do have is genuine experience, honest opinions, and the perspective that comes from six decades of actually living. When I recommend a product, it’s because I’ve used it. When I share what’s working in my side hustle journey, it’s because I’m in the middle of it — right alongside you.
I’ll tell you what works. I’ll tell you what doesn’t. And I’ll do it without the hype.
A note on affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you purchase through them — at no extra cost to you. I only recommend products I genuinely use or believe in. Your trust means more to me than any commission.
